Networking at Affiliate Summit

It’s not what you know, its who you know.  This saying holds a degree of truth no matter what business you’re in.

One obvious way to get to know more people in your industry is to attend conferences such as Affiliate Summit.  Zac Johnson is going to give me a free pass to Affiliate Summit if I can win his contest by explaining why Affiliate Summit is important to me.

Affiliate Summit Here I Come
I have a two part answer to why attending Affiliate Summit means a lot to me.  The first is that I’ve been to software conferences as part of my J.O.B. where I learned several new skills and met some great contacts.  As I said, no matter the business, the networking value of a conference is very valuable.

The second part of my answer is that Amit and Paul said it should be important to me.  When two successful affiliates advise you to seek success at conferences, ignoring them would be foolish:

Paul – Uber Affiliate

“networking is the #1 reason to go to events. You’ll make tons of contacts, and even if you don’t make ton - there’s always that 1 that will actually make an impact on your career. At ASE, I was able to meet tons of cool people as well as build relationships with leaders in the industry.”

Amit – Super Affiliate Mindset

“Like I said before, if your not attending conferences like this, your missing out in a big way. It’s a “must” in my book for every affiliate marketer who wants to take their business to the next level.”

Thanks for the post and entering the contest. I met Amit at the last event. I can’t stress enough again how awesome these events are for networking.
