Where do you begin when starting out in Internet Marketing? I think Jason Marshall of Next Internet Millionaire fame offers a good analogy of making money online as a puzzle. You may have all the pieces in front of you but you don’t really know what the end result should look like or how to go about getting there.
Valuable Marketing Veterans
This is where experience comes in. Obviously not your own since you’re a rookie, but the experiences of others who have had success. Leveraging the knowledge of marketing veterans through mentoring programs or information products can really help you understand the basics of the business and save countless hours of trial and error. Their insight can help you use the right techniques as you begin building your business.
Taking Action
Of course, you still have to take action after absorbing the information but you’ll be miles ahead of where you would have been without the products or mentoring. I’m afraid the initial actions will still likely lead to losing money and wasting time but that’s just part of the learning process. In my experience you’ll expend far less time and money after you get the help of marketing veterans than before.
Leveraging Experiences
I’ve personally taken advantage of ebooks, multi-media products, and coaching to help get started making money on eBay, through blogging, and now with affiliate marketing. I’m really appreciative of the time the veterans took to put together the materials I used. Sure I paid for them but the products and services were well worth every penny I spent. Below are some of the tools I’ve used and would recommend:
- Affiliate Marketing Coaching – Fly on the Wall Club
- Selling on eBay – Silent Sales Machine on eBay
- PPC Advertising – Super Affiliate Accelerator
- Blogging – Six Figure Blogging
